System Metrics

  • Bottle location:

Through the aft fuselage access panel

  • Oxygen capacity:

77 Cu. Ft. light weight composite-wrapped cylinder

  • Oxygen high pressure:

    200 to 2000 psi

  • Oxygen cabin pressure:

    70 psi nominal

  • System weight:

    17 lbs empty

  • CG:

    262.3

System Features

  • Dual pressure transducers (one providing bottle pressure indicating oxygen quantity and one ensuring proper pressure is available in the cabin)
  • Internal altitude sensors to monitor pressure inside the aircraft
  • No hazardous high pressure capillary oxygen lines in the cabin
  • No mechanical actuation maintenance issues
  • Proven fail safe regulator actuation
  • Oxygen supply, even in the presence of electrical failure
  • Nickel-plated brass (or stainless), and dual seals for all high pressure oxygen components
  • The System first probes for any electrical problems prior to engaging the System on

System Includes

  • 4 Flow Meters - Combined adjustment valve and flow indicator. The user simply adjusts the flow rate to the corresponding altitude of the aircraft, and the FAA-required oxygen quantity is delivered to a standard mask or oxygen conserving cannula.
  • 2 Microphone Masks - Allows the pilot and passengers to ascend higher altitudes of 18,000 to 25,000 feet safely.
  • 2 Gear Bags - The standard, gear bag with Cirrus logo is a safe place to store oxygen equipment in a clean and compact manner.

Optional Equipment

  • 1 Flightstat Pulse Oximeter - The Nonin Flightstat checks blood saturation level to ensure occupants remain fully oxygenanted in-flight.

System Description

The Precise Flight Fixed Oxygen System, now available as an aftermarket retrofit for Cirrus SR22 starting with the G2, is installed to provide the pilot and up to three passengers a convenient and high capacity oxygen system.

The System, which is identicle to the Cirrus factory system, provides the Cirrus SR22 aircraft a simple and efficient electronic display of oxygen quantity and a toggle switch for activating the flow of oxygen in the cabin. To increase safety, the System provides warning to the pilot when oxygen should be used in the aircraft by illuminating the O2 Required LED.

This unique System also provides warning to the pilot of any oxygen or electrical faults. Average System installation time is 30 hours, which may vary by aircraft.

System Operation

The System is simple, straight forward and easily activated from the cockpit, consistent with the Cirrus pilot interface.

Steam gauges and manual activation of existing oxygen systems have been eliminated. The oxygen distribution panel in the cabin headliner replaces the incandescent dome light with a combination LED dome light and four oxygen receptacles.

The receptacles are self-sealing, bayonet-type, and allow the pilot to rotate the oxygen line to remove eventual kinks in the oxygen lines.

The LED dome light outshines its replacement and its position allows the oxygen lines to fall behind the pilot, minimizing the hassles of multiple cord connections.

System Filling

A fill port with integral manual valve are located in the baggage bulkhead for convenient servicing of the System.
